Kenneth attempts to recruit for the DOoFS

S'me again. . . . This is another interesting tidbit from The Most Honorable Caleb Solar's boudoir stockpile of odd writings and random notes. I think he was toying with the idea of working this story into a sermon but am not sure. . .and I know Caleb would give me a righteous ass-thumping if he ever figured out that I was poking around his room. Caleb's room is Off-Limits! Especially if Kenneth is standing guard at the door during Caleb's "special private time" daily.

 Subject: Died in service


   One Sunday morning, the pastor noticed little Alex was staring up at the large plaque that hung in the foyer of the church. It was covered with names and small American flags were mounted on either side of it.
The seven-year old had been staring at the plaque for some time. So the
pastor walked up, stood beside the boy, and said quietly, "Good morning,
Alex." "Good morning pastor," replied the young man, still focused on the plaque. "What is this?". Alex asked. "Well, son, it's a memorial to all the young men and women who died in the service." Soberly, they stood together, staring at the large plaque. Little Alex's voice was barely audible when he asked, "Which one, the 9:00 a.m. or the 10:30 a.m. service?
